MAN HELD ON $75K BAIL ON SEXUAL CONTACT CHARGE

Territorial Court Judge Ishmael Meyers found probable cause Friday to charge a 49-year-old man with unlawful sexual contact in the first degree.
Timothy Morgan was ordered held in custody in lieu of $75,000 bail following his initial court appearance. His arrest came Thursday at 10:30 p.m. after a four-day investigation by police and after public appeals by the victim's mother for law enforcement to arrest Morgan so as not to allow him to allegedly victimize other young children. In broadcast interviews, the victim's mother also alleged that Morgan was in the territory under a false name.
On Thursday, police Cpl. William Chesterfield interviewed the minor victim who indicated that on several occasions prior to March 12, Morgan would come by the victim's home and while watching television would fondle his private parts.
The victim also told police that on Monday he told his mother of the incidents because he was afraid. The victim's statements were made to his mother on the same day Morgan appeared at the victim's home to visit with the boy's father.
