Asta Louise O'Bryan James of Estate La Grange, Frederiksted, died Saturday, March 3 at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York City. She was 66.
Funeral services will be held at noon Friday, March 16 at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Frederiksted. A viewing will precede the service beginning at 10 a.m.
Interment will be in Frederiksted Cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Halvor and Hugh; daughter, Valerie; brothers, Rupert, Lloyd, Fitzgerald, and Elliott; sisters, Rita O'Bryan-Jones and Nancy O'Bryan; brothers-in-law, Leon James, Otto James, Elmer James, and Ralph James; sisters-in-law, Eunila James, Evelyn Messer- James, Gertrude James-Chinnery, Lurine O'Bryan; grandsons, Lateef, Kaleaf, and Kashmir; great- granddaughter, Tia.
She is also survived by her nieces, Nina O'Bryan, Natalie O'Bryan, Debra O'Bryan, Tashima O'Bryan, Malysha Jones, Michele, and Jennifer; nephews, Lloyd O'Bryan Jr., Winston O'Bryan, Ronald O'Bryan, Quageem O'Bryan, Rupert O'Bryan III, Howard O'Bryan, Gary O'Bryan, Diren O'Bryan, Marion O'Bryan, Tyrone Jones, Kristopher Jones, Rashid O'Bryan, and Gerard O'Bryan.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in memory of Asta L. James.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of James Memorial Funeral Home.
