Local author, Whitman Browne, will be the guest speaker at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 28 at the Virgin Islands Cultural Heritage Institute, 5-6 Kongens Gade, also known as Education Street.
Browne will discuss and read from his new book "The Christena Disaster, Revisited," and from his previous book " From Commoner to King," a biography of Robert L. Bradshaw, the late prime minister of St. Kitts, Nevis, and Anguilla.
Browne's books have received critical acclaim from scholars of Caribbean history and literature.
Copies of his books will be on sale at the lecture, providing an opportunity to acquire signed copies and to meet with a distinguished local author.
