3 ARRESTED AFTER SAVAN RAID NETS GUNS, DRUGS

Three people including a father and son were arrested Tuesday by Narcotics Strike Force agents after a raid on a house in upper Savan netted an undetermined amount of marijiuana, plus drug paraphernalia and weapons.
Their names are being withheld pending further investigation. The Tuesday morning raid on the house at Agnes Fancy No. 16-1 followed weeks of surveillance and investigation, officials said.
Two semiautomatic pistols and an ammunition magazine for an AK-47 assault rifle were confiscated, according to Territorial Police Chief Jose Garcia. He said one of the guns was a Glock pistol modified to outpower the standard-issue 9 mm Glock police weapon.
The Narcotics Strike Force operation was aided by the V.I. Police Department Special Operations Bureau, Marine Unit and Department of Planning and Natural Resources enforcement division.
