SERVICES FOR ALVIN JAMES THURSDAY

Alvin James, known as "Fungi" or "Flour" to his friends, formerly of St. Croix, died Thursday, Jan. 18 at Select Specialty Hospital in Georgia. He was 67.
Funeral services will be at noon on Thursday, Jan. 25 at Holy Cross Catholic Church. A viewing will begin at 11 a.m.
Burial will be in the veteran section of Kingshill Cemetery.
He is survived by his daughters, Shirley James, Barbara James, Marsha Adams, Joselyn "Churchie" James, Lucy Christopher, and Charmaine Hamilton; sons, Richard, Vernon and John James; grandchildren, Juan Nieves Jr., Sergio Morales, Victor and Vernard Sealey, Fitzroy Brann III, LaShana Adams, John Adams II, Raphael Christopher Jr., John Jr., Jordon, Nick, Richard Jr., Shequan, Shaquel, Craig, Deray, Shamoie, Shantell, Richell, Shanice, Shakera, Daniqua James, Maquesha James, Keisha Sealey, Ariel Christoper, Laqueda Brann, Krystal Hamilton, and Derika Phipps; great-grandchild, Janora Ramos; sisters, Clothilda Stanley, Winifred Duncan Liebert, Juliette Brooks, Jean Lindsay, and Gloria Jackson.
He is also survived by special nephews, Victor Tuitt and Paul Yarwood; daughter-in-law, Tania James; sons-in-law, John Adams, Emile Hamilton, and Raphael Christopher; brothers-in-law, Will Lindsay and George Brooks; special friends, Fitzroy "Lobo" Brann, Kathleen Thompson, Justin Thompson, Bernadette James, Agnes Yarwood, Maria Tuitt, Kareem Brann, Marinice Morton, Tamara Dorsey, Bones Morris, Ruby Ritter, and Shirley Morris; and many other friends and relatives.
Funeral arrangements are in the care of James Memorial Funeral Home.
