HEALTH SCREENING FOR FREE PAP TEST, MAMMOGRAM

The Health Department's breast and cervical cancer early detection program will conduct free enrollments for eligible women to get a free pap test at Tutu Park Mall from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Women aged 50 and older may also be eligible for a free mammogram.
The "Every Woman at Heart" program is enrolling women as part of Cervical Cancer Awareness Month in January and will also distribute fliers and other information at the mall's center court.
Eligibility requirements for the pap test are:
– 18 years of age or older;
– Not covered by Medicare (Part B);
– No insurance, or insurance does not cover pap smear or mammogram;
– Must meet income guidelines based on family size.
Women 50 and older must meet the same requirements to get a free mammogram. No proof of residency is required to be eligible for either test.
For more information on the program, call Sofia Rachid at 774-9000, ext. 4643.
