KUDOS FOR NEW UVI SPORTS COMPLEX

The University of the Virgin Islands needs to be commended for the construction of the new sports complex.
Mind and body go hand in hand. UVI certainly has more academic goals to attain but enhancing the sports program will not only serve to build the body but so too will facilitate the growth of the academic side.
I attended Georgetown University. For decades Georgetown was viewed favorably in the academic arenas, yet it was not until the arrival of coach John Thompson and the basketball program that the university became a household name. The substantial increase in notoriety and revenues from the basketball program facilitated the growth of the university.
I wish the University all the best with its new sports complex and the many new enhancements to come from the sports complex.
