HEALTH CHIEF NOTES RULES FOR FESTIVAL VENDORS

Acting Health Commissioner Dr. Lucien Moolenaar noted Friday that all those participating in the St. Croix Christmas Festival 2000 must apply for health permits and food handlers' cards.
In a statement, Dr. Moolenaar reminded businesses and those who serve food of the Environmental Health division's guidelines, which apply to all those operating booths, to street vendors, food fair vendors and those selling food along the parade route.
Health permits should be in a visible location. All food handlers must be prepared to present health cards to inspectors on request. Those in violation of Health Department regulations will be asked to stop their operations.
