WORLD AIDS DAY CANDLELIGHT MEMORIAL

A World Aids Day memorial and candlelight gathering will be held at 6 p.m. Dec. 1 at Emancipation Garden, it was announced by the St. Thomas-St. John chapter of the American Red Cross.
Pastor Derek King, nephew of the late Dr. Martin Luther King, will speak on HIV/AIDS prevention. This year's theme in the battle against HIV/AIDS is "Men making a Difference." The candlelight vigil is held each year in memory of friends and loved ones who have died from Aids.
