AFT LEADERS SHOULD BE REPLACED

Dear Source:
The Union Leadership of the Teachers has failed to appeal the ruling ordering Teachers back to school. Nothing more clearly indicates the need to replace them. The Union leadership has not only failed the Teachers, they failed Democracy by avoiding a vote, they failed the Community by not letting us show our solidarity with those caring for our children. The Union leaders in the Virgin Islands are generally not workers in their field but professional union workers essential unable to do any real job. We have a welfare-net. Get rid of them. It is decisions like this that has our community in the deplorable state it is in. It is leadership caving in without reason, merit or justice that has the best leave.
