OPEN HOUSE II TO GIVE AWAY THOUSANDS OF BOOKS

A chance to build your own library, or enhance your present one, will be offered Tuesday through Saturday at Tutu Park Mall at another book open house.
Pamela Morales, mall marketing director, said response to an open house Tuesday had been "overwhelming." She said the one-day open house was not enough time for everyone.
"People were facing the challenge of not having enough hands, cars and time to get all the books they needed," she said.
Morales still has more than 4,000 books to give away. The books were a donation from a Maryland Rotary Club earlier this year. They range from children's stories, to adult fiction, nonfiction, and textbooks. She has been trying to get schools or community groups to take advantage of this literary treasure trove, but, until her recent open house, she had not met with great success.
Morales has scheduled five open houses next week from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday on the third floor of the Office Max building. Morales cautioned persons coming to the event to dress comfortably because the area is warm and there are so many boxes to look through.
