JULES TAKES LIBRARY RUN

He's Back! George Jules won the annual "Run To Your Library" road race Saturday morning in Christiansted.
After being away from the running circuit for a year to attend to the duties related to becoming a first-time father, Jules picked up where he left off two years ago with a first place finish in the 18th Annual National Library Week — "Run To Your Library." Leading the race from the start, Jules’ time was 16 minutes and 15 seconds on the fast, historic Christiansted course.
Theresa Harper asserting herself as the current top female distance runner on the local circuit this year was the top female finisher in 20 minutes and 35 seconds. Kent Bradbury was second in 17:20; Drew Villamagna was third in 20:10. Earthla Arthur was the second female in 21:24 and Jo Shim third in 21:43.

The Finisher Female: 1. Theresa Harper 20:35; 2. Earthla Arthur 21:24; 3. Jo Shim 21:43; 4. Susan Armstrong 21:56; 5. Dulcy Crowther 21:57; 6. Jawana Goodwin 23:58; 7. Kathy Bennett 26:55; 8. J'Kiwa Goodwin 27:24; 9. Debie Aronstein 30:22; 10. Pamela Reid 30:23.
The race was hosted by the Friends of the Florence Williams Public Library and closes the National Library Week celebration.
The next race on the V.I.Pace schedule is The 2nd Annual "The Children Run Christiansted," on April 28 and the Annual Paradise 5k April 30.
