WOMAN'S BEATEN BODY FOUND IN WINTBERG

Police dispatched to the Wintberg area of St. Thomas around 7:30 a.m. Thursday found the badly beaten body of a woman in a home just west of Wintberg Gardens, WVWI/Radio One reported.
Officers at the scene described the victim as being in her early 20s. They said there were indications that she may have been sexually assaulted as well as beaten. The body was reportedly found by the victim's boyfriend. No further details were immediately available.
The killing is the third in four days on St. Thomas. A spate of three drive-by shootings Monday and Wednesday left two people dead and two others wounded.
