POLICE SEEK BLUE HONDA IN SHOOTING

Police were on the lookout Tuesday for an older model blue Honda sedan believed to have been used by the individuals who fired shots at 20-year-old Ellis Blyden Jr. Monday morning, fatally wounding him in the head.
Blyden, a Lindbergh Bay resident, was shot outside the Hometown Convenience Store on the Smith Bay Road in Anna's Retreat around 11 a.m. Monday as he apparently was about to make a telephone call from a pay phone there. Area residents said they heard multiple shots being fired.
A vehicle carrying two male occupants was seen speeding from the crime scene. There were reports that the car was also seen on Fireburn Hill above the Savan district.
The Honda reportedly is registered to a Donoe resident.
Blyden apparently had been driving a white Toyota Echo that police found at scene. One police source said "he may have pulled off the road to use the phone when he was gunned down."
No further details were available on the shooting, the third homicide on St. Thomas and the fifth in the territory this year.
