Class Ring Day at UVI
University of the Virgin Islands students and alumni are reminded that Wednesday and Thursday, April 12 and April 13, are designated as Class Ring Days at UVI.. Representative from Josten's will be in the Harvey Student Center cafeteria on the St. Thomas campus from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. to accept orders for class rings. Alumni who wish to purchase class rings from previous years are encouraged to complete order forms. For further information, contact Miguel Caban at the UVI Bookstore at 693-1560.
UVI Alumni Meeting in the BVI
Alumni and friends of the University of the Virgin Islands are invited to a meeting in Tortola on Thursday, April 13, at 5:30 p.m. in the BVI Government Administration Complex, East Atrium, conference room 2. UVI Alumni Affairs Supervisor Jackie Sprauve, along with Director of Annual Giving Deborah Hamilton and Professor of Journalism Ndaeyo Uko will address the group.
Student Recital and Open House
The University of the Virgin Islands Humanities Division Music Department cordially invites the public to its annual spring semester student recital and open house on Sunday, April 16 at 4 p.m. The recital will be held in the choir room of the UVI Music Building on the St. Thomas campus. Admission is free.
Graduation pictures – Class of 2000
The University of the Virgin Islands Publications Committee encourages all graduating seniors of the Class of 2000 to have their graduation pictures taken for the yearbook. Only two more opportunities are left: Sunday, April 9 and Sunday, April 16. Pictures will be taken between the hours of 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the St. Thomas campus Business Administration Building on the lower level.
Poetry at L'Hotel Boynes
The University of the Virgin Islands Humanities Division invites the public to "Poetry and Conversation at L'Hotel Boynes," Friday, April 14 at 6 p.m. Poets are asked to limit presentations to one piece of not more than five minutes in length. There will be a cash bar and hors d'oeuvres will be served after the reading. For more information call 693-1340.
UVI St. Croix campus Banquet and Ball
The UVI Student Government Association's Social and Cultural Committee will sponsor the 9th Annual Spring Banquet and Ball on Saturday, April 15 at the Cormorant Beach Hotel. Tickets are $25 in advance, $40 at the door. For more information, contact Margaret Brown at 692-4188 or Maria Friday at 692-4194.
