JOGGER JAM ATTRACTS 248 RUNNERS AND WALKERS

The annual Women's Jogger Jam brought 247 women runners and walkers (plus one runner who looked suspiciously like a man) on Sunday afternoon to the Fruit Bowl to complete the two-mile course.
The popular event sponsored by the Fruit Bowl and directed by St Thomas Association of Roadrunners is a fund raiser for the St Thomas Victim Advocates.
The run started at the Fruit Bowl and continued through two loops around the Roy L. Schneider Hospital.
The youngest participant (aside from the stroller bound) was two-year-old Isis Collier.
The oldest woman was Helen Gjessing. In spite of the hot afternoon and slightly hilly course, many women ran fast times.
The first runner across the line was Charlotte Amalie HIgh School track star Kady Joseph in a time of 13:19.
The top three winners of the various age groups were:
18 & under:

Patricia Remy 15:49.
Ages 19-29:
Andrea Greaux 16:42
Susan Wiiliams 17:29
Tami Sibilly Penn 17:30.
Ages 30-39:
Charlotte Morris 14:06
Boel Merettti 14:29
Theresa Jereniah 16:13
Ages 40-49:
Billie Hodges 13:58
Sheena Hanes 16:00
Tamara Stuckey 16:02
Ages 50-59:
Marilyn Nibbs 18:06
Cassaandra Mallory 18:33
Toni Thomas 18:45
60& up:
