A mini soccer tournament will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 8, and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 9 at the University of the Virgin Islands field.
The games, which will be round robin style, are sponsored by the St. Thomas Youth Soccer Association, and are in preparation for a Puerto Rico tournament Saturday, April 15 and Sunday, April 16.
Participating in the games will be players under 13 years old, who will combine to play against the junior varsity teams of Addelita Cancryn Junior High School, Bertha Boschulte School and Ivanna Eudora Kean High School. Refreshments will be on sale.
The Puerto Rico tournament will be attended by teams from St. John and St. Croix, as well as St. Thomas.
