APRIL 7 CYRIL E. KING DAY

Governor Charles W. Turnbull has set April 7 of each year as "Cyril Emmanuel King Day" to recognize the public service of the former Governor of the Virgin Islands.
The proclamation notes that the late Governor King received numerous awards for his outstanding community service. he also was awarded an honorary Doctor of Law Degree from Roger Williams College, Buffalo, New York, for his outstanding work as a humanitarian.
The Governor urges the community to join him in the observance of this special day honoring Cyril E. King.
