VOLUNTEERS NEEDED AT MAGENS BAY

As the dry season approaches the Save Magens Bay Committee is seeking volunteers from the community to water plants and care for new plants.
Toni Thomas, a botanist with the University of the Virgin Islands Cooperative Extension Service said though there is a need for volunteers with specific skills, the primary requirements are for enthusiasm and the ability to work independently.
The Save Magens Bay Committee, founded by Sen. Adlah "Foncie"Donastorg is dedicated to preserving the bay's natural and cultural resources. The committee works with students, scientists, community volunteers and Magens Bay staff to protect and beautify Magens Bay.
For more information on volunteering at Magens Bay call Donastorg's office at 693-3665 or the UVI Cooperative Extension Service at 693-1084.
