PHYSICIAN TO LECTURE ON TESTING BREAKTHROUGH

Dr. Richard C. Adler, a pediatrician and former chief medical officer of the Provident Life and Accident insurance company, will present a lecture about a breakthrough in medical testing on Tuesday, Jan. 18, at 7 p.m. The presentation will take place at The Bridge Club in Al Cohen's Plaza on Raphune Hill.
According to a release, Adler will share information about ways people "can understand how to determine for themselves the appropriate balance of food and vitamins to help prevent devastating problems such as heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, stroke and obesity."
A pioneer in the field of wellness, Adler also has served as vice president for medical affairs and medical director for health maintenance organizations (HMO's) such as CIGNA Health Plan and Humana. He recently joined the staff of Ideal Health, a company which has developed customized ways to promote health and prevent disease, according to the release.
Adler's lecture will also address "how to relieve the most common form of stress — financial stress," the release states.
