I agree with the other Source reader who wrote about the GERS raises. What I would like to know is exactly what have these people done that can be classified as "outstanding, excellent service" for the people of these islands, to merit such a humongous increase in salary.
I cannot think of one thing that would make this raise justifiable. And if it does exist, then they need the "Service Award of the Century". What in God's name is the administration doing other than burying the Virgin Islands deeper in debt. I think it's time for the residents to start kicking this administration in their behinds, and yes, I think time is way overdue for the feds to take over and clean house.
The monkey business going on is obscene and disgraceful and needs to stop. From a Virgin Islander abroad who is ashamed of the crap going on back home.
