JAMES REMOVES 2 CORRECTIONS BUREAU OFFICIALS

Acting Gov. Gerard Luz James II Friday relieved the two top people in the Corrections Bureau of their positions.
James, who is acting governor while Gov. Charles W. Turnbull is in Washington attending meetings, announced that he replaced BOC Director Gina Harrison with Horace Magras. James also replaced assistant Director Gerald Enos with Ewin Harris.
James said in a release from Government House that after reviewing problems in the Corrections Bureau, he decided to make the change in order to "improve its operations."
Magras has held the position of assistant warden for the bureau since 1997. Harris has also been a warden since 1997.
