JOSE GEORGE TO ADDRESS LEAGUE ON ECONOMIC ISSUES

Jose George, former director of the Office of Management and Budget, will address the monthly meeting of the League of Women Voters at noon on Monday, Nov. 15, at L'escargot Restaurant in Sub Base on St. Thomas.
George, who also served as executive director of the Housing Finance Authority, will discuss his perspective on the Memorandum of Understanding between the Interior Department and the V.I. government and other economic issues.
As George is now the regional comptroller of Chase Manhattan Bank, his analysis of economic issues facing the territory will represent a private-sector perspective, league president Erva Denham said.
All league luncheons are open to the public. The league encourages non members to take advantage of their monthly meetings to become familiar with important issues facing the Virgin Islands. For reservations, call Eleanor Cerge at 776-9357 or Elizabeth Delagarde at 776-0287.
