FIVE NAMED TO HEALTH DEPT. MANAGEMENT TEAM

Attorney Robert Leycock, Pamela Eckstein, Lee Vanterpool, Dr. Herbert Sanders and Dr. Lucien Moolenaar have been appointed by Gov. Charles Turnbull to join the Department of Health's Management team.
Leycock will serve as legal counsel, Vanterpool will direct the department's public affairs and Eckstein will handle federal grant writing and program analysis. Sanders will serve as medical director for Emergency Medical Services and Moolenaar, who will be the deputy commissioner, will oversee the department's public health programs and St. John health services.
"We are very pleased to have these highly trained and professional individuals join our management team," Health Commissioner-Designate Dr. Wilbur Callender said in statement.
"There is an abundance of work to be done and with the assistance they can provide, we anticipate moving positively in resolving some of the problems we face in the Department of Health and carry out the governor's mandate to improve the quality of the services provided to the public," Callender said.
