AMERICAN YACHT HARBOR TO RENEW CZM PERMIT

Red Hook's American Yacht Harbor will apply for a renewal of its Coastal Zone Management permit at a public hearing later this month, the Department of Planning and Natural Resources has announced.
The permit will allow American Yacht Harbor to continue to occupy the boardwalk and rock wall so it can operate its marina and commercial center.
Persons in favor or opposed to the permit are invited to testify at the hearing, which begins at 7 p.m. July 12 in the conference room of the St. Thomas Legislature building.
Properly signed statements can also be mailed to DPNR, care of Commissioner Dean Plaskett, DPNR Division of Permits, 396-1 Est. Anna's Retreat, Foster Plaza, St. Thomas, VI 00802.
