TWO ROBBED NEAR MAFOLIE HOTEL

Two women were robbed late Sunday night near Mafolie Hotel.
Two men wielding hand guns and wearing white ski masks came from behind the dumpster next to the hotel. They took a backpack containing $700 and purse containing $10 from the women. They also took $80 from one of the women's pockets.
Christina Curtin and Sherill Raad, both employees of the hotel, said the suspects ran up the hill toward Sib's Bar & Restaurant shooting off a gun on the way.
One of the men was tall and slim, the other a little shorter, according to a release from Police Chief, Jose Garcia.
Both men were wearing white sneakers and blue jeans, according to the women.
Garcia said anyone having information about the robbery should contact the Investigation Bureau at 774-4050 or 774-2233.
