Tourism is the major industry that support the Virgin Islands economy. And V.I. officials are doing their part in New York City this week to give back the support to the industry.
Assistant Commissioner of Tourism Pamela C. Richards gave a reception Thursday night for attendees at the Caribbean Tourism Organizations's annual meeting held this week in New York.
The Virgin Islands will also be represented by the territory's Delegate to Congress Donna Christian-Christensen, who will provide the media with the latest updates and promotions currently underway here.
Christensen was set to travel from Washington to attend the annual event, according to Amy Atkinson of Martin P.R , the territory's public relations firm. The prestigious CTO is holding meetings all this week at the Roosevelt and Walforf Astoria hotels. Marketing and human resource development are the themes of the event.
The CTO Chapter presidents will have their annual December meeting in the VI this December.
