Coconut Coast Villas Offers Millennium Discounts Coconut Coast Villas on St. John is offering special millennium discounts
for guests who stay a minimum of 10 nights between December 17, 1999 and January 5, 2000 on the property. Studio apartments are available at $250 per night for two people. Two-bedroom suites with two baths are available at a rate of $395 per night for four people. (An eight percent room tax will be added to the rental rates.) There is a $30 per night charge for each additional person who stays in the rooms. A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to secure all reservations. Marriott Morning Star Beach Resort Completes Renovations Marriott Morning Star Resort has a new luxury product this season after recently completing a $6 million renovation. Each of the redesigned rooms features open-air terraces, mahogany sliding doors, ceiling fans, floral print bed coverings in pastel shades, floral artwork and enlarged bathrooms. The exterior of the resort looks like a collection of beachside bungalows. The renovations to the 96-room Morning Star Resort was the final phase in the $58 million total redesign of both Marriott Beach Resorts. (Marriott Frenchman's Reef reopened in December 1997.)

St. John Saturday Celebrates Earth Day
The St. John Action Committee will celebrate Earth Day on Saturday, April 24, during the monthly St. John Saturday festivities. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., there will be demonstrations of glass blowing, aluminum smelting, solar oven baking, and composting. Environmental awareness activities and informational seminars will also be offered throughout the day. "Green
Up" students from Coral Bay will make paper and papier-mache products and sell them. A short play called "Affliction of Affection" written by St. John playwright Lisa Bean will be performed at the bandstand at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. As always a variety of arts, crafts, plants and local foods will be on sale. Bolongo "Kids Stay & Eat Free" Program
Once again this summer, St. Thomas' Bolongo Bay Beach Club & Villas will offer its popular "Kids Stay & Eat Free" program. When parents book a continental plan (CP) vacation, children ages 12 and under can stay for free in the same accommodations of paying adults. Children 12 and under
can also eat from the children's menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner when accompanied by adults who are dining a-la-carte. One adult must accompany each child. Chenay Bay Resort Offers Introductory Scuba Diving Program For Kids St. Croix's Chenay Bay Beach Resort is offering an introduction to scuba diving for children ages 8 to 12 through its new "Bubblemaker Experience" program. The first session provides approximately 20 minutes of beginner instruction for kids in the resort's pool. This session is offered at no cost, and equipment is also provided complimentary. Additional sessions for more advanced instructions are available for $30 each. The "Bubblemaker Experience," offered in conjunction with Chenay Bay Beach Resort and St. Croix Ultimate Bluewater Adventures, was developed by PADI.
