UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE TAX DEADLINE EXTENDED

Eleuteria Roberts, acting commissioner of Labor, has extended the due date for employers filing their first quarter unemployment insurance contribution to May 7, without penalty.
The five-day extension was granted to businesses in consideration of Carnival holidays April 29 and 30.
Employers may call Barbara Wheatley, unemployment insurance director, at 776-3700 ext. 2020, for more information.
