EDUCATION NAMES PERSONNEL DIRECTOR

Alscess Lewis-Brown has been named director of the Education Department's personnel and labor relations office.
Gov. Charles W. Turnbull said he made the appointment on the advice of acting Education Commissioner Ruby Simmonds.
Brown most recently was acting personnel director, the governor's press release said. Before that she was labor relations administrator for St. Croix. She has more than 20 years' experience as an educator and human resources manager wtih Martin Marietta Alumina, Hess Oil Virgin Islands Corp. and the V.I. Water and Power Authority.
Anthony Kiture was named assistant director of Education's personnel and labor relations office. He has been a benefits analyst for the last four years for the Government Employees Retirement System.
