ACTIVITIES MARK INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S MONTH

March is International Women's Month, and for the third successive year, Virgin Islands groups are planning events in its observance.
The Port of Sale shopping complex adjacent to Havensight Mall is hosting a family health fair on Monday, Tuesday and Friday and again on March 12 and the weekdays of March 22-26, the V.I. Daily News reported.
A Department of Health mobile unit will be set up on the site to provide screening for diabetes, high cholesterol, HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases. Women meeting certain income and age guidelines are eligible for free mammogram and Pap smear medical services. The local American Red Cross chapter will have information available on HIV/AIDS, health and safety, pet safety and disaster services.
Family Resource Center, formerly Women's Resource Center, will present a "Salute to 20th Century Women" in Emancipation Garden on March 27 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
And the territory's first Women's Directory of business, professional and not-for-profit agency services is expected to be off the presses shortly for free distribution in the community. It's the project of Stephanie Scott-Williams and Stacy Bourne.
