TWO CAHS STUDENTS ARE FINALISTS FOR SCHOLARSHIPS

Marcus E. Daniel and Jennae P. Wallace, both 16 years old, are finalists in the 1999 National Achievement Scholarship Program. Daniel and Wallace are students at Charlotte Amalie High School.
The achievement program is a nationwide academic competition conducted by the National Merit Scholarship Corp. to honor academically able black students. Selection is based on achievement on the 1997 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).
More than 100,000 black students entered the program. There are approximately 1,200 finalists, based on test scores and a record of high performance in school.
Winners will be notified by the end of February, according to the Daily News.
