The nine contestants for 1999 Carnival Queen were introduced Saturday night to a crowd of about 250 well-wishers at Bluebeard’s Castle.
Vying for Carnival Queen are Shanee’ King, Tracy C. Boynes, Alicia M. Rabess, Alenia E.Z. Buncome, Sabrina H. King, Kamela S.
Williams, Loni M. Abraham, Shani A. Smith and Dorian A. Lambert, according to the Daily News.
Only seven sponsors were named Saturday so the Carnival Committee was named as a sponsor until two more can be identified.
The seven sponsors selected by contestants from yellow balloons containing the names
are: Bluebeard’s Castle Hotel, Renaissance Grand Beach Resort, Dark & Lovely, Commercial Security Services Ltd., Holiday Inn/Windward Passage Hotel and Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort.
The Carnival Queen pageant is scheduled for April 17 at Lionel Roberts Stadium.
