Early Registration for the Beach-to-Beach Power Swim Ends May 2

The 11th annual Beach-to-Beach Power Swim will be held on Saturday, May 24. The long course may be swum solo or as part of a three-person relay team. There is also an “assisted” category for swimmers using masks, fins and snorkels.
Early registration will end on May 2. Until then, registration fees are $40 for adults and $25 for youth 17-and-under. Beginning May 3 and until May 22, registration will be $50 for adults and $25 for youth.

V.I. Swimmers Leave for CARIFTA Championships in Aruba

Nine of the St. Croix Dolphins’ top swimmers have qualified for the CARIFTA Championships in Savaneta, Aruba. The swimmers will travel and compete for the V.I. National Team from April 22-26. CARIFTA will officially begin with a cultural opening ceremony for the 22 Caribbean nations.

International Optimist Regatta, Clinic and Team Race Set for June 16-22

Registration is open for the 22nd International Optimist Regatta (IOR), which is marking over two decades of fostering junior sailing in the Caribbean. The dates for the regatta and kick-off Sea Star Clinic and Sea Star Team Race are June 16-22. Recognized as one of the first and largest regattas in the Caribbean to promote youth sailing, the 2014 IOR welcomes participants from around the world.
