Cancer Support VI has rescheduled a presentation by Dr. Edith Ramsay-Johnson, Professor Emerita of Nursing at UVI, who will speak on colon cancer.

Cancer Support VI announces the next free presentation by Dr. Petra Ketterl, medical oncologist, and Dr. Kathryn Anderson, a naturopathic physician, from Cancer Treatment Centers of America, (CTCA) in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Parents with concerns about their young child’s development should take advantage of a free developmental screening or Child Find being offered jointly by the Departments of Health, Education and Human Services, as well as Lutheran Social Services and the Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands.

Department of Health Commissioner Julia Sheen is advising the public of recent reports of conjunctivitis, commonly referred to as pink eye, in the territory and is urging residents to seek medical attention if they feel they have contracted the infection.

The Department of Human Services, in conjunction with others, will host Child Find, a free developmental screening for children from birth to 5 years-old.
