Seven Virgin Islands chefs will square off on the lawn of Fort Christian on May 22 to vie for the title of “Best Coal Pot Chef in the Virgin Islands.”

 The American Cancer Society (ACS) Relay For Life® of St. Thomas gives everyone in the community a chance to help the organization save lives and create a world with less cancer and more birthdays.

 A special survivors’ dinner themed “Dining under the Stars” will be held during the American Cancer Society Relay For Life® of St. Thomas on Saturday, June 29.

On May 8, the members of the Rotary Club of St. Thomas II made significant presentations to the students, faculty and administration of their adopted Addelita Cancryn Junior High School at the Club’s weekly luncheon at Marriott’s Frenchman’s Reef Hotel.

 Rotary Club of Saint Thomas Sunrise presented the St. Thomas Swimming Association (STSA) with a check for $2000.

 Rosters for the Zero Tolerance Summer Leagues are available and must be turned in on May 31 or before.

 Sankofa Saturdays Youth Cultural Education Initiative invites the public to the opening exhibition reception of “The Sankofa Story: Sharing the Vision and the Journey,” a free multi-media digital exhibit/community by the initiative in commemoration of Virgin Islands African Heritage Week and African Liberation Day.

  The Family Resource Center’s Family and Youth Crisis Intervention Program is holding registration for its girls’ “Rites of Passage” prevention component. The program, funded by the Department of Human Services, is free but space is limited.

 The Partners for Health Office will be opened from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursdays.
