Music maestro Dr. Lorna Young-Wright celebrated the first-time visit of her younger brother, Lamont Young, and his wife, Montrose, with a UVI-accented soiree.

The festival in Aarhus was a wonderful experience and one that I will always remember.

Cathy SitaRam from St. Croix has been selected as the featured artist at the Urban Suburban Film Festival, June 24-26 in Philadelphia, Penn. 

Education Commissioner Dr. La Verne Terry has announced the selection of the 2011 Public Employees of the Year: Sharmila Richardson, a personnel assistant in the St. Thomas-St. John District Human Resource Office, and Sheryl Finch, a guidance counselor at the Charles H. Emanuel Elementary School on St. Croix.

     Mr. and Mrs. Elliott Mac Davis of Estate Canaan, St. Thomas, have announced the engagement of their son, Joseph Cameron Davis, to Erin Gresham, daughter of Gary and Dona Gresham of Yakima, Washington. 

Adam Kloper, a 14-year veteran teacher at theUlla Muller Elementary School, is the territory’s 2010 recipient of thePresidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) for 2011.
