Philanthropist Neil Weiss Dies at 92

Businessman and philanthropist Neil Weiss died Wednesday at age 92 on St. Thomas. Following a 10 a.m. service Sunday at Turnbull’s Funeral Home, he will be buried at the Jewish Cemetery.

On Sept. 11, officials of National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) announced the names of approximately 16,000 semifinalists in the 59th annual National Merit Scholarship (NMS) Program. Kayla Clendinen and Portia Norkaitis, both high school seniors at V.I.
