 The Virgin Islands Adjutant General, Maj. Gen. Renaldo Rivera, appointed Command Sgt. Maj. Delores English-Edwards as Virgin Islands National Guard (VING) State Command Sergeant Major (SCSM) on Friday, April 19.

 The St. Thomas-St. John District Governing Board will formally welcome and introduce Bernard A. Wheatley, Ph.D., as the new CEO of the Schneider Regional Medical Center at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 8.

 Denyce Singleton, state director of AARP Virgin Islands, has announced that Archie Jennings, an accomplished lawyer, has been selected to lead the local AARP volunteer team.

 Dore Griffin, a graduate of Eudora Kean High School, received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of Texas. She has been a member of the Marriott’s Frenchman's Reef Beach Resort family since May 23, 1995.

 Maine Maritime Academy recently named students to their dean’s list for outstanding academic achievement in the first semester of the 2012-2013 academic year. Students named to the dean’s list earn a grade point average of 3.3 or above on a 4.0 scale.
