            The Reichhold Center for the Arts Family Series has taken entertainment to a new level with hip-hop duo Black Violin, a group of vibrant young men who have performed across the United States to critical acclaim. They will perform at Island Center and at Reichhold Center.  

The Forum presents Pacifica, the award-winning quartet from the Casals Festival, the number one festival of the Caribbean.

The Reichhold Center for the Arts continues its 2010 season with the sounds of the United Kingdom’s award-winning reggae band Steel Pulse.

The fifth annual Water Island Classical Music Festival will be held on Feb. 12, 13 and 14. Pianist Julian Gargiulo returns for his fifth year with a program he played in January at New York's Carnegie Hall. Joining him will be six world-class musicians, violinist Dmitri Berlinsky, jazz pianist Wells Hanley, jazz singer Patrice Perry, Russian pianist Maria Yefimova, operatic soprano Roza Tulyaganova of Uzbekistan and soprano Olga Shyp.

Weston Sprott, second trombonist of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra of New York, will be featured in a solo recital, accompanied by Gylchris Sprauve, pianist, on Saturday, Jan. 30, at the historic Frederick Evangelical Lutheran Church in Charlotte Amalie. 

This season, Arts Alive is introducing “The Prelude,” a $25 tapas buffet and jazz performance to be held before the concert from 6-7:30 p.m. On Jan. 27, the cellist Kalin Ivanov will perform at 8 p.m. after at tapas/jazz pre-concert.

The Reichhold Center for the Arts invites the public to get a sneak peek at the Soweto Gospel Choir at www.reichholdcenter.com. The gospel choir, based in South Africa, will launch its U.S. tour with a performance at the Reichhold Center on Friday, Jan. 15.

Jermaine Sellers from BET’s “Sunday Best” will be featured in a gospel showcase at Stoutt Community College, Tortola, at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14, as part of the college’s 2009-2010 Performing Arts Series.

Bibb has been a Grammy nominee and is a four-time Blues Award nominee, including a nomination for Best Acoustic Blues Artist.  His CDs have included collaborations with other artists such as Bonnie Raitt, Rory Block, Maria Muldaur and Arts Alive performer Ruthie Foster.
