Pistarckle Theater and sponsor FirstBank Virgin Islands continue the series of Film Festival Winners with "Crumb." During the 1995/1996 festival circuit, "Crumb" took home an impressive nine wins for best documentary in various festivals, including Sundance.

The second in Pistarckle Theater's film series dubbed First Features will show Tuesday night. The film, "American Saint," is the directorial debut of Joseph Castelo.

Pistarckle Theater and founding sponsor FirstBank Virgin Islands are proud to announce the Second Annual Film Series beginning tuesday, July 19, and every Tuesday after that for a total of six weeks. The first two weeks, July 19 and July 26, begins with the first features category that showcases two successful feature length films made by first time directors.

Critic James Berardinelli says if there is any living director who can do justice to the warped nature of Roald Dahl's children's stories, it's Tim Burton. Berardinelli has a point, and Burton's "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" proves it. Burton uses his favorite actor, Johnny Depp, who gives a whole new twist to factory owner Willy Wonka.

The final movie of The Forum's 2005 Film Festival will be shown at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Caribbean Cinemas in Market Square East. From India, "Born Into Brothels" is a documentary with a twist that chronicles the lives of children born to Calcutta's prostitutes.

"Transfer Day Perspectives" is a film that examines the ongoing struggle of Virgin Islanders to attain full U.S. citizenship. The film will be aired on TV2 on Monday, June 20 at 8:30 p.m. and Sunday, June 26 at 7 p.m.

The everyday lives of a number of Los Angeles residents are the subject of this loosely-knitted collection of short stories.

"Lost Embrace" is a 2004 Argentina-France-Italy-Spain co-production. It took the Silver Bear award at the 2004 Berlin Film Festival and was Argentina's Academy Award Best Foreign Film entry.

The fourth annual Forum Film Festival comes to the big screen at Caribbean Cinemas in Market Square East for three consecutive Wednesdays starting June 8. The emphasis of this year's program is on romance, drama and human-interest stories.
