Steve Valentine Phillip Dies at 45

Steve Valentine Phillip

Steve Valentine Phillip died on Feb. 10 at Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital. He was 45 years old.

He is survived by his mother, Verna “Inez” Phillip; sister, Jasmine Pond-Franklin; brother, Brian Phillip; sons: JeVern, Malyke, Steve Jr. and Akyjah Phillip; grandchildren: Je’Maya Phillip, Amiyah Phillip, Steve Phillip III; nieces and nephews: Brianna, Debraun and Bobbie Phillip; sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Cheryl Phillip and Joseph Franklin; aunts and uncles: Humie and Cynthia Lawrence, Patricia Nicholas, Julian Phillip, Theresa Moore, Neville Phillip, David Hercules and Rev. Dr. Joseph Nicholas (in-law); cousins: Audrene Adolphine, Rosalyn Webster, Cory, Carol, Barbara and Janice Guishard, Feldear Webster, Shanel, Davina Phillip and Yasmin Phillip-Solinas, Jack, Paulette, Jacqueline, Jefferson, Jerome, Justin, Phillip, Lesa, Shermel, Maureen, Dianne, Errand, Terel, Alex, Marc, Ian, Odessa, Azuerdee, Amanda, Myron, Ivan, Travis, Patrick and Nigel; special friends: Cicely Joseph, Glenda Harris, Averil George, Alex Williams, Ovan Willie, Bishop, Errol Watson, Ulysses Peters, Junie Lake and Steve Boatswain; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a first viewing held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16, at Davis Funeral Home Chapel. A second viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 17, at Memorial Moravian Church. Interment will be at Eastern Cemetery.
All arrangements are by Davis Funeral Home, 774-1464.
