CGL’s ‘Evening at the Library’

The Caribbean Genealogy Library (CGL) invites the public to an ‘Evening at the Library’ with author and historian David Knight Sr., who has written many books on the Virgin Islands. This will be a chance to ask him questions about his research and books, and to share views on the material he has covered and Virgin Islands history in general.

Local celebrity Chef Julius Jackson will partner with Women Striving for Success for a Celebrity Chef Cooking Lesson. Jackson will share ways to prepare quick healthy meals for women on the go.  It will be an exciting evening of cooking and networking. Spaces are limited. Pistarckle Presents Musical ‘Working’

The musical “Working” is adapted from the book by Studs Terkel, with songs by Craig Carnelia, Micki Grant, Lin-Manual Miranda, Mary Rodgers and Susan Birkenhead, Stephen Schwartz and James Taylor. There will be eight performances. Play synopsis: The characters in “Working” are non-fictional. The actors deliver monologues and song, and the words in the script are those of real people taken in interviews by Studs Terkel.
