The Committee for the Betterment of Carenage announces the annual Father's Day weekend celebration in Frenchtown, June 15-17. Once again this year, the committee will pay tribute to the father figures in our community with a three-day weekend celebration that includes live music each night in the Father's Day village and the sale of local food and drinks. As is customary, the festival village will be located near the Aubain Ball Park and across the street from Betsy's Bar and Restaurant.
On Friday night at 7:30 pm, the committee will host ceremonies to crown Miss Carenage 2012, Christine M. Greaux, and a ribbon-cutting to formally open the village. Local dignitaries will bring remarks and greetings as we kick off the annual celebration. Christine attends Charlotte Amalie High School and intends to pursue a career in nursing. Following the ceremony, Hartatak International from St. Croix will entertain and later in the night, Sweeta' Band will be on stage until 2 am.
