WEFUS to Host Lecture

As part of its ongoing We From Upstreet (WEFUS) Transfer Centennial initiatives, WEFUS will host a lecture on “The History of the Lutheran Church and the Legacy of the Benjamin Family,” who were members of the Frederick Evangelical Lutheran Church (FELC). Brittany A. Brin will give a presentation on the history of FELC, one of the oldest churches in the western hemisphere, founded in 1666.  She is the great-great-great grand-daughter of Amos R. Benjamin, who played an instrumental role in the Lutheran ministry in the Virgin Islands. Drinks will be on sale.
