Togetherness and Laraza Tie But Finish in the Dark

The Togetherness appeared to be heading for their first victory of the season when they took an early 2-0 lead against the Laraza in the St. Thomas Region’s Thursday night action at the Lionel Roberts Stadium. However, in what turned out to be a seesaw battle, the Laraza came storming back. Togetherness’s Fitzroy Blanchette (10th minute) and Tito lewis (20th minute) scored before Laraza equalized on goals by Orande James (35th minute) and Jamie Browne (55th minute).
Laraza then took the lead when Carlos Claxton converted a penalty to make the score 3-2. But the Togetherness was not to be out done as Kurt Duncan scored to level the score before the Laraza again took the lead when James scored his second goal. The Togetherness’s Lewis completed his brace in the 73rd minute, leveling the score for the final time.
Unfortunately, the match came to an anticlimactic end when half of the lights in the Lionel Roberts Stadium went off with five minutes of regulation time left. The lighting never returned, forcing the postponement of the second match between the Raymix and the M.I. Roc Masters.
