WEALTH OF MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. INFO ON-LINE

On-line resources offer opportunities to study the life, actions, words and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The King Center, established in 1968 by Coretta Scott King as a living memorial dedicated to the work of Martin Luther King Jr., has a web site at www.thekingcenter.com. Not all of the pages at the King Center site have been completed at this date.
Anyone seeking in-depth information on King's speeches and writing can go to the Martin Luther King Jr. Papers Project at Stanford University www.stanford.edu/group/king/. A cooperative venture of Stanford University, the King Center and the King estate, the King Papers Project is a major research effort to assemble and disseminate historical information concerning Martin Luther King Jr. and the social movements in which he participated. The site has information of scholarly depth, yet is easily explored by students. Copies of frequently requested speeches and writings are available from the home page of the Papers Project including King's "I have a dream" speech in 11 languages. The Papers Project also features multimedia presentations and excerpts in King's voice.
