WEATHER CAUSES LEAGUE TO CANCEL LUNCHEON

The scheduled League of Women Voters luncheon meeting for Monday has been canceled due to the weather. John de Jongh Jr., hairman of the Governor's Fiscal Recovery Task Force, was schedule to discuss the five-year economic plan that the task force is developing.
De Jongh will be rescheduled to address a league luncheon meeting within the next few weeks, according to Erva Denham, league president.
The league welcomes the general public to its monthly meetings, where guest speakers discuss topics of interest relative to government operations and the environment, among other things.
Editors' note: As soon as the meeting is rescheduled it will be announced on St. Thomas Source under Community/Organizations and Community/Calendar.
