Retirees are advised of a delay in mailing the form 1099-R due to a shipment delay of the specific paper used for printing. This is as a result of the weather conditions in the Northeast United States, according to a press release issued Friday by the Government Employees’ Retirement System (GERS).
Retirees can expect to receive their 1099s during the week of Feb. 9 and would also be able to access the form through the GERS Member Self-Service.
