St. Thomas East End Reserves Boundary Buoy Locations Are Installed

Eight boundary buoys have been installed identifying the St. Thomas East End Reserves (STEER), according to a press release issued Monday by the V.I. Department of Planning and Natural Resources.
The buoys are bright yellow, approximately eight feet tall, labeled “A-H” and have a flashing light on top to aid in navigation. The GPS coordinates for the new buoys are below.

As a reminder, within the STEER boundaries there is no fishing, hunting or taking of any natural resource allowed without a permit. Some exceptions for baitfish collection within 50 feet of the shoreline apply.
