Police ID Victim of Tuesday Shooting

No Record of Guns Confiscated by DPNR Cop Accused of Drug Smuggling

DPNR Enforcement Officer Roberto Tapia testified in March that he regularly confiscated boaters’ firearms but DPNR has no records at all of any firearms confiscated by Tapia.

Passport Offices Open on Saturday, October 27

 The Passport Offices will open on Saturday, Oct. 27, in order to accommodate residents who are unable to visit the offices during regular working hours. Both the St. Thomas office, located in Nisky Center, and the Christiansted office, located at Government House on St. Croix, will be open from 9 a.m. to noon, according to a press release issued Thursday from the Office of the Lieutenant Governor.
Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to apply for or renew their passports in preparation for holiday travel.
In addition to the completed passport application, persons planning to apply for or renew their traditional passports or passport cards are also required to provide proof of citizenship and identity, two 2x2 photos and associated fees. Additional requirements apply for minor children. Copies of the passport application are available at the Office of the Lieutenant Governor or online at www.ltg.gov.vi.
